ReplyDeleteIts a Self-Extracting archive and has not any uninstaller you have to delete the desktop shortcut and respective Counter-Strike folder.

This problem has been solved in the latest version. May be you are using old version of CS 1.6 WaRzOnE.

No I can go to servers play 5min and then crashes like in the middle of playing or if there is a new map it starts to download and if it downloads too long it crashes.So i would say crashes during playing

You can't update dedicated server provided in this release until you use HLDS update tool

It is not necessary to update the dedicated server ( already included dproto which fixes most of crash bugs ) until if you want it 24/7
The main problem is that if you update the dedicated server then Counter-Strike game ( client ) can not be run from the same folder. You have to use separate installation for both client and server.

Anti CSDoS by Shocker is useless now, no new updates.
DeleteThere may be other reasons of crash like some buggy Amxmodx plugin.
Rules for maximum protection: [Running a server 24/7]
1) Use HLDS update tool to setup your server
2) Always keep your server up-to-date i.e 5408
3) Use latest version of dproto i.e 0.9.87
4) Don't use too many or unapproved Metamod and AmxmodX plugins

Do forward port 27015 to your LAN IP and check if you are able to add your server to tracking websites like gametracker.com or css.setti.info then that's mean any one can connect to your server from any where through Internet :)

I don't have any problem connecting online. The most frequented servers I go to are disturbia (dedicated for de_dust2) and United Army (rotating maps). Low pings, very fast, and popular.

Sounds strange to me. Even if it doesn't show up in the game menu, it is still very easily recognizable.
DeleteThere is a big difference between the interface of CS 1.5, 1.6 and Source.
You should have recognized that it is CS 1.6 once you enter the main menu of the game. No need to connect online yet.

You don't need an extra software ( VPN )to play this game online if you have a Public IP or port forwarded 27015.

DeleteIt is impossible to completely remove Half-Life from CS 1.6 because CS 1.6 is mod of Half-Life and Half-Life is base game. Even in Steam CS 1.6 Half-Life also installs but you can't play it until you purchase it. So, pure CS 1.6 will have Half-Life. Just delete Half-Life desktop shortcut it you don't like it :)

How to enable Bots?
Goto folder..."Counter-Strike\cstrike\dlls\" delete file "mp.dll" and rename "mp - bot.dll" to "mp.dll"
Yup in previous release I removed Half-Life maps but in upcoming release I include them so you can also play Single player now

DeleteCan you re-install your Windows 7 or just restore it to the factory condition? I bet your problem is either due to some other software installed in your PC, or due to your graphics card. The latter possibility is remote, because CS 1.6 has a very low system/graphics requirement, unlike the more modern FPS as COD series.

DeleteYou can't remove it. It's CS 1.6 game play feature until you install AmxmodX and try some plugin which remove this game feature but I'm not sure if there is any AmxmodX plugin which will remove this feature.

To enable setmaster command you have to use separate installation one for client and other for server. In server installation open rev.ini file in notepad and remove # symbol from "#ClientDLL=steam\steamclient_orig.dll" to "ClientDLL=steam\steamclient_orig.dll"

Firstly favorite only works if you add static IP, no-ip or dyndns will not work.

Delete@fasi : The "steamclient.dll" from "CS1.6Update4554_Overlay" has made the listen server to become not responding. Replacing it with the steamclient & rev.ini of your last build (Using RevEmu 9.81 R4 [December 14 2009]) made it visible again. Should i replace back the "steam.dll" too from the RevEmu 9.81 R4 or use the steam.dll of CS1.6Update4554_Overlay ¿¿¿¿¿

Yes, I know this problem you can use game console to connect to server or run dedicated server any how there is no need to replace "Steam.dll" if it working fine.

swds.dll is core engine file of HLDS.

Can I use the other files (viz. hlds.exe, steam_api.dll, steam_api_c.dll, swds.dll, cs_i386.so, mp.dll, liblist.gam
directly from the HLDS newest update (esp. swds & mp.dll) , or do these files needs patches (or in other words, did you patch these files or were they pulled from official HLDS directly) ¿¿¿
(btw Jo's v2 has beeen fixed in latest update : http://www.pakgamers.com/forums/f16/%5Brelease%5D-anti-jos-v2-windows-124587/)
As my release includes both client and server so, It was required to have files from same build. If you put latest files from HLDS binaries, client will not run :-/

Deletei had a problem sir, when i clicked find servers nothing happened and nothing pop-ups just sounds, i tried reinstalling and restarting pc but same happens, also tried bugfix,vidfix,mousefix.

Yes, this could be happen due to network connectivity issue. Wait for 5 to 10 sec when you click on find server, it will pop up.

DeleteAs far as I know, this release doesn't contain CZ, so probably there is no way for you to add a shortcut to CZ.
In this release, you can either play Counter-Strike mod, or the original Half-Life base game. No CZ mod, period.

ReplyDeleteHaving enabled the bots support, I cannot start a game with these bots. The game gets locked and there is no other cure except for Ctrl+Alt+Delete and closing the process.
No problem starting a new game prior to the installation of the bots, though...

I think you have not properly apply bot_enable patch. Re-download and apply this patch again it will be solved. No one have this problem so far. If this problem persists then wait for some days. Version 1.3 is coming soon and will have bots.

Yup, Fasi is right. When I started to play CS 1.3 in around 2000 ~ 2001, I like playing with hacking tools, like no recoil script or auto-aiming tool. But soon, it becomes boring, because even I could get high score, the credit didn't come to me. Rather, it goes to the hacking tools.
DeleteJust tried them for about 3 months. Since then, I abstained from any hacking tool, even I often ranked at the bottom part of public servers. At least, the scores of kill is credited to my own shooting skill, not the aiming-bot's.

Did you got any message in Find servers Internet tab.
DeleteRun Steam and go to online mode. Now exit Steam. Then run CS and check if servers appear in Internet tab.

I remember Fasi mentioned that you had better not update your hlds. Otherwise there would be some incompatiblitiy between the server application and the client end.

Firstly there is no need to update HLDS because all known exploits have been already fixed.
DeleteSecondly Counter-Strike in this package is already updated to latest version.
Still, if you want to update HLDS through hldsUpdateTool you can simply make two separate folders one for client and other for HLDS.

It is a problem with "sXe Injected v12.3 Fix 5". You can use "sXe Injected v12.3 Fix 3" and it will work fine.

first off, props to you man for making this release and having the patience to answer so many queries...thing is I am using the setti masterserver.vdf file but I can't seem to find any close by(indian) server simply by refreshing(I have to manually add them using ip's from gametracker)....lowest latency servers im getting are 240-250 in romania, singapore etc. Any suggestions? It may have something to do with the port forwarding which I did 2 years back and I dunno what airtel guys might have been upto with my connection since then? It would be great if you could help me.
ReplyDeleteActually Setti's has a boosted server feature, which gives priority to these servers, so you have to click on find server and wait for a while to list all servers than you can list them according to latency.
DeleteIt is better to use Gametracker, you can add all your country servers to your favorite tab.
